Skin Cancer
I am the skin cancer lead in the Midyorks NHS Trust and routinely perform a great number of reconstructive facial and body work following oncological resection for skin cancer. The experience that I have gained over decades of reconstructive work has enabled me to master a very solid approach when it comes to any type of soft tissue reconstruction.
Privately I undertake all types of skin cancer resection and reconstruction by following all national guidelines and regulations that apply. Due to the long NHS waiting lists, skin cancer patients come to see me privately. The service I offer is exactly the same as in the NHS with one exemption. The patient journey is much shorter and the solution to the problem is given almost immediately so patients do not have to wait.
The most common skin malignancies I deal with on a daily are basal cell carcinomas (BCCs), squamous cell carcinomas (SCCs) and melanomas.
